The Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC) held a Clinical Simulation Workshop that brought together students and teachers from the Nursing course, as well as guests from the provincial secretary of ORDENFA Bié, employees from Dr. Walter Strangway Hospital, and teachers from the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Bié.

The event is part of the calendar of activities for the CLINICALSIM project. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to experience a practical and collaborative learning environment that stimulated interaction between academic institutions and health units in the province of Bié. The initiative allowed not only for the transmission of theoretical knowledge, but also for the direct application of techniques and procedures, consolidating the practical training of students.

The program included practical stations, technical demonstrations, and simulated clinical scenarios that reproduced real hospital care situations. Participants were challenged to develop essential skills such as assertive communication, leadership in critical contexts, decision-making under pressure, and teamwork, which are essential skills for the professional practice of nursing.

The presence of partner institutions such as ORDENFA, Dr. Walter Strangway Hospital, and ISP Bié reinforces the interinstitutional nature of the event, highlighting a collective commitment to the continuous improvement of health training. Collaboration between these entities ensures that students receive an education aligned with international quality standards, promoting academic excellence and professional development.

In addition to strengthening technical skills, the workshop also encouraged the exchange of experiences between teachers and students from different institutions, creating opportunities for the establishment of cooperation networks that can extend beyond the academic context. This exchange is fundamental for building an innovative, dynamic educational environment focused on the comprehensive development of future nursing professionals.

The Erasmus+ Project has been a strategic vector for UNIC, demonstrating its commitment to the internationalization of teaching and the promotion of modern pedagogical methodologies. Workshops such as this reinforce the university’s position as a benchmark in the implementation of innovative educational technologies, contributing to the training of health professionals capable of responding competently and confidently to the demands of the sector.

The Clinical Simulation Workshop promoted by UNIC not only provided a transformative educational experience for students and teachers, but also consolidated highly relevant institutional partnerships, aligning with the objectives of training qualified professionals capable of acting with excellence and safety in real clinical contexts. The activity is yet another example of the university’s ongoing effort to strengthen the quality of health education, preparing leaders and professionals capable of facing the challenges of the sector with competence, ethics, and dedication.
